Hyatt Regency Waikiki workers ratify new contract

Advertiser Staff

Unionized employees at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Resort & Spa ratified a four-year contract agreement tonight.

The contract covers about 500 of the Hyatt's workers and is similar to those approved last month by employees at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa and the four Sheraton hotels in Waikiki.

The union, UNITE HERE Local 5, still has to negotiate contracts for employees at the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa, The Kahala Hotel & Resort, the Ala Moana Hotel and the Ilikai.
