Flash flood watch remains in effect this morning

A flash flood watch issued by the National Weather Service will remain in effect for all but the Big Island through this afternoon.Heavy rain is falling over much of O'ahu this morning.
Forecasters said that locally heavy showers remain a possibility throughout most of the state today as the atmosphere continues to be moist and unstable while an upper level disturbance passes by to the north.
In many places the ground is saturated from recent heavy rains, so any significant rainfall could result in flash flooding.
The continued heavy rain has increased the threat of landslides, so be alert for road closures, the Weather Service advised.
