Wet weather finally moves on

Advertiser Staff

It seems that the heavy showers that fell over most of the state the past two days have moved on.

It should be much drier today, according to the Nationial Weather Service, although individual showers may flare up locally.

Light southwest winds and high humidity may result in afternoon showers through the middle of next week, forecasters said.

Here's how the next several days look:

Today, partly cloudy. Scattered showers until mid morning, then isolated showers in the late morning and afternoon. Highs 78 to 85. Light winds. Chance of rain 30 percent. Tonight, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 70 to 75. Light winds. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Saturday, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Highs 80 to 85. South winds around 10 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Saturday night, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 67 to 73. Light winds. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Sunday, partly cloudy. Isolated showers in the morning, then scattered showers in the afternoon. Highs 80 to 86. South winds around 10 mph. Chance of rain 40 percent.

Sunday night, partly cloudy. Scattered showers in the evening, then isolated showers after midnight. Lows 68 to 74. Light winds. Chance of rain 40 percent.
