With Pali reopened, traffic is back to normal
Advertiser Staff
Traffic appears to be back to normal this morning after Pali Highway was opened in both directions just after 9 p.m. yesterday. The town-bound lanes had been closed since about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday following a major landslide on the Honolulu side of the Pali Tunnels.Traffic this morning looked very much how it does on an average workday.
That is to say the drive in on the H-1 Freeway is slowing at this time at the Waikele shopping center and again at the Middle Street merge.
The drive in from Hawaii Kai is going smoothly at this hour, although a backup begins in the university area.
There are no major problems heading in from the Windward side at this time on the Pali Highway or the Likelike Highway and H-3 Highway.
