Hawai'i unemployment insurance claims rise sharply

Initial unemployment insurance claims in the week ending Oct. 28 rose by 22 percent compared with the corresponding week last year.State Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism data shows 1,067 new claims were made. That compared with 874 a year earlier.
