Man slashed in Kailua home

A 67-year-old man was slashed in the neck at his Kailua home today, a city official said.Officials responded to a 12:39 p.m. call to a home on the 1100 block of Hele Street in the Enchanted Lake neighborhood, said Bryan Cheplic of the city Emergency Services Department.
The man was taken to The Queen's Medical Center in critical condition, and has been upgraded to serious condition, Cheplic said.
