Rainbow Wahine sweep Utah State in volleyball

Jamie Houston had 13 kills, 10 digs, two aces and three bblocks to lead No. 16 University of Hawaii past Utah State Saturday in a women's volleyball match in Logan, Utah.

The scores were 30-17, 30-18, 30-24.

Houston hit .520 for the match before 1,332 fans at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.

Juliana Sanders had eight kills and six blocks while hitting .636 while Sarah Mason posted 11 kills. Kari Gregory added six kills and five blcoks while Kanoe Kamana`o had 36 assists, three aces, theee digs and two blocks.

UH is 19-5 overall and 11-1 in the Western Athletic Conference. Utah State is 12-15 and 5-8.

The Rainbow Wahine will return home for their final homestand of the season, hosting Louisiana Tech on Nov. 10, at 6:30 p.m., before facing No. 23 New Mexico State on Nov. 12, at 5 p.m., for senior night.
