Police end threat, talk fugitive out of house

Wahiawa police officers successfully talked a fugitive out of a friend's house he was allegedly threatening to burn down today, resolving a 25-minute standoff without injury or damage to property.Richard Fontes Jr. was arrested on an outstanding $20,000 parole revocation warrant. Police went to the residence on the 100 block of Kaliko Drive at about noon and arrested Fontes at 12:25 p.m.
