Four Seasons gets buyout offer from Gates, others

Four Seasons Hotels Inc., which manages four luxury hotels in Hawai'i, has received a $3.7 billion buyout offer from a group including its chief executive officer, Microsoft Corp.'s Bill Gates and Saudi Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal.

The Toronto-based company manages 74 luxury properties, including those at Hualalai on the Big Island, at Koele and Manele Bay on Lana'i, and Wailea on Maui.
