Company that takes Hawai'i inmates earns $26 million

Corrections Corp. of America, a company that houses Hawai'i inmates on the Mainland, said net income rose 25 percent to $26.1 million in the three months ended Sept. 30.The company said Hawai'i is a potential customer for its 1,900-bed Saguaro Correctional Facility being developed in Arizona. Corrections Corp. is the largest owner and operator of private correction and detention facilities in the United States.
