Surf on the rise around most of O'ahu

Advertiser Staff

Surf is on the way up along all but the eastern shoreline on O'ahu today, according to the National Weather Service.

The surf is expected to grow to 8 to 12 feet along the northern shore, 6 to 8 feet along the west-facing shores and 2 to 4 feet along south-facing shores.

Surf along east-facing shores will likely hold steady at 1 to 3 feet today, forecasters said.

A new north swell is due in on Wednesday and is expected to continue through Thursday.

Surf heights resulting from this swell are expected to remain below the high surf advisory threshold along north facing shores.
