Donald Trump, always quick to seize marketing opportunities, is touting his new Waikiki condominium project and travel to Hawai'i in an online journal written appearing as part of a celebrity feature on Yahoo! Inc.'s Web site."When I travel worldwide, I never settle for just any vacation," wrote The Donald, who is developing a 462-unit luxury hotel-condominium named the Trump International Hotel and Tower. Units in the project are priced between $445,000 and $4.5 million.
"I welcome nothing but the best and would love to introduce you to my most recent endeavor into the Hawaiian Islands."
Trump wrote he first took a helicopter tour before arriving at the Kahala Hotel & Resort, where he had a room overlooking the dolphin lagoon. Then it was off to see the beach.
"After a vigorous arrival, I decided to take a relaxing day by the succor Waikiki Beach," he wrote. "Just the view of the peaceful white sands and aquamarine waters can soothe any mind of a hard day's work."
Trump's travel log also mentions he played golf at Turtle Bay and had meals at Hoku's, La Mer, and Chef Mavro's, where he had "the delectable Golden Osetra Caviar."
Besides mentioning his Waikiki project, Trump also notes travel to Hawai'i can be booked through his www.GoTrump.com Web site.
"I guarantee that you will enjoy your Hawaiian vacation if you follow just some of my trip ideas," he wrote. "And if you utilize my travel site, like I did, not a penny of yours will be wasted."
