Local CPAs help promote financial literacy program

The Hawaii Society of Certified Public Accountants is among groups participating in a national advertising campaign urging 25 to 34 year-olds to improve their financial literacy and increase their savings.The "Feed the Pig" program features a piggy bank as an icon and encourages people to begin taking small steps to save more.
The local group is joining the advertising effort spearheaded by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Ad Council. The campaign will include radio and television spots.
