Hawaii quarterback Colt Brennan, who tossed six touchdown in a 63-10 victory Saturday over Utah State, earned this week's USA TODAY's Player of the Week honor.

Brennan completed 18 of 29 for 413 yards and surpassed the school record for most touchdown passes in a single season with 39.

Brennan also set a new Hawaii record for consecutive pass attempts without being intercepted at 182 before being picked off in the third quarter.

Each week during the season, readers can select their pick for USA TODAY's Player of the Week. Choices will be made available on Sunday night. The fan vote, open through noon ET on Tuesday, will comprise one-third of the award with one vote also going to college football editor Erick Smith and Gannett columnist Mike Lopresti.
