Trade winds here today, gone by Friday

Advertiser Staff

The brisk trade winds we have enjoyed over the past couple of days will weaken tomorrow and turn southeasterly beginning on Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

That, unfortunately, means the return of lots of warm, moist air and the mugginess that goes with it.

A replacement of the trades by southerly could also bring a return to significantly wetter weather beginning on Sunday, forecasters said.

Here's what to look for over the next several days:

Today, mostly sunny. Highs 79 to 86. Northeast winds 15 to 20 mph. Tonight, mostly clear. Lows 67 to 75. East winds around 15 mph.

Thursday, mostly sunny. Highs 79 to 85. East winds 15 to 20 mph.

Thursday night, mostly clear. Lows 65 to 73. Northeast winds 10 to 20 mph. Friday, mostly sunny. Highs 79 to 85. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Friday night, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 66 to 74. East winds

10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
