Word of Life vs. Sacred Hearts for D2 volleyball title

Chanteal Satele had 20 kills and five blocks to lift top-seeded Word of Life past Waimea, 25-21, 17-25, 31-29 in the semifinals of the New City Nissan/HHSAA Girls Volleyball Division II State Championships at Punahou School Wednesday night.Word of Life (16-5) advances to Thursday's championship game against Sacred Hearts at 6 p.m. at the Stan Sheriff Center.
Sacred Hearts defeated La Pietra, 25-19, 23-25, 25-15, in the other semifinal at Radford.
Waimea, the Kauai'i Interscholastic Federation champ, dropped to 10-1.
