Cox Radio 3rd quarter earnings rise 12% to $24 million

Cox Radio Inc., the Atlanta-based company that operates six Honolulu radio stations, said net income in the three months ended Sept. 30 rose almost 12 percent to about $24 million from a year earlier.The company said stations in Honolulu, Orlando, Miami and Tampa had delivered "solid growth" during the first nine months of 2006.
The company's stations here include KCCN FM100, KINE Hawaiian 105, KKNE AM 940, KPHW Power 104.3, and Krater AM and FM.
