Rainbow Wahine beat New Mexico State in WAC volleyball

The University of Hawai'i women's volleyball team took sole possession of first place in the Western Athletic Conference today with a victory over New Mexico State before a crowd of 8,611 at the Stan Sheriff Center.

The No. 14-ranked Rainbow Wahine won 30-16, 30-18, 24-30, 30-23 to improve to 21-5 overall and 13-1 in the WAC. The No. 20 Aggies fell to 29-2 and 12-2.

Hawai'i plays at Boise State on Wednesday and at Idaho on Friday to close the regular season.

The WAC tournament is Nov. 22-24 in Reno, Nev.
