Brennan, UH leaders in NCAA statistics

Quarterback Colt Brennan and the University of Hawai'i continue to dominate the NCAA offensive statistics.Brennan is ranked No. 1 in three categories, and the Warriors are tops in six, in statistical categories compiled by the NCAA.
Brennan, who led UH to its seventh consecutive victory yesterday in a 61-17 victory over Louisiana Tech, tops all Division I quarterbacks in passing efficiency, total offense and points responsible for.
Here is the individual breakdown:
Passing efficiency: 1, Brennan 189.0; 2, Tyler Palko of Pittsburgh 173.0; 3, John Beck of Brigham Young and Colt McCoy of Texas 172.7.
Total offense: 1, Brennan 401.9; 2, Chase Holbrook of New Mexico State 372.7; 3, Graham Harrell of Texas Tech 335.8. No. 4 is Purdue quarterback Curtis Painter (293.1). UH hosts Purdue Nov. 25.
Points responsible for: 1, Brennan 28.20; 2, Harrell 19.27; 3, Brady Quinn of Notre Dame 18.60.
Despite playing just three quarters in six games, Brennan also is No. 2 in passing yards per game (375.30) behind Holbrook (381.80). Brennan is No. 3 in total passing and completions per game behind Holbrook and Graham, and No. 3 in completions per game (27.50).
UH receiver Davone Bess is No. 7 in receptions per game at 6.90

Tackles for losses allowed: 1, UH 3.30; 2, Clemson 3.64; 3, Texas Tech 3.64.
The Warriors also are No. 1 in passing efficiency at 188.47.
