Woman arrested in police officer assault incident

A woman who repeatedly jaywalked in front of a Honolulu Police Department officer and then struck the officer while being cited yesterday morning was arrested on suspicion of assault against a law enforcement officer.Police did not release the age of the jaywalker or the location of incident but said the incident occurred at about 11:30 a.m. when the woman twice jaywalked in front of the officer.
When the officer called the woman over to be cited, she struck the officer with her hands, injuring the officer, police said.
