Five teens arrested in tie to robbery

Five teenage boys were arrested on suspicion of robbery Saturday night after one of them pulled a handgun on a 15-year-old boy and another demanded money from him as the boy walked across a parking lot on Farrington Highway at 10:30 p.m.

The boy handed over money at gunpoint, police said. The robbery was seen by the victim's friend who was driving by and followed them, police said.

Officers arrested the boys nearby on suspicion of first-degree robbery.

Man reports garage break-in, assault

A 22-year-old man was injured early yesterday morning when four men allegedly broke into an 'Ewa Beach garage, assaulted the man and took his keys and a moped.

A 22-year-old woman fell as she tried to chase the men as they drove away, police said.

Man arrested in shoplifting incident

A 44-year-old man allegedly rummaged through a cabinet behind the front counter of a Kona Street business Saturday night then allegedly stole items from a nearby business on Ward Avenue before being arrested.

When a 66-year-old woman working at the Kona Street store tried to stop the man by grabbing his backpack, he assaulted her and fled to Ward Avenue. A 33-year-old man working at the Ward Avenue business later chased the man down the street. A Honolulu Police officer responded to the commotion and arrested the man.
