Water main breaks cut service in Ka'a'awa, Manoa

Two separate water main breaks that occurred shortly after 12:30 a.m. cut off water service to 25 homes in Ka'a'awa and one dozen homes in upper Manoa Valley.Honolulu Board of Water Supply repair crews replaced 6 feet of pipe to repair a break in the 8-inch main in Ka'a'awa by 10 this morning. Other crews this morning were still working on the 12-inch main break on Manoa Road, between Waakaua and Kumuone streets.
