Husband arrested in head-butting incident

Police arrested a 34-year-old Waikiki man this morning after he allegedly head-butted his wife outside their apartment, possibly fracturing one of her eye sockets.

Police were told the two were drinking at a bar, got into an argument and left separately.

The wife told police she found her husband sleeping in front of the door to their apartment. She said her husband woke up and delivered the head butt, causing the eye injury.

Police were called and arrested the husband near Cleghorn and Kapili streets on suspicion of abuse of a family or household member.

Teen arrested in tie to moped theft

A 16-year-old boy was arrested in Kailua yesterday evening after a 42-year-old man called police to say the boy was riding a moped that had been stolen from him.

Patrol officers located the boy on Uloa Street about 6:30 p.m. and arrested him on suspicion of unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle.

Man arrested in link to Windward shop robbery

Police yesterday arrested a 20-year-old man who has no local address in connection with the Oct. 4 robbery at a Windward O'ahu business.

Police said a man walked into the business about 11:50 a.m. and used physical force to take items from the business.

After being found yesterday, he was arrested on suspicion of second-degree robbery.

Man arrested in assault, property damage incident

A 21-year-old Kailua man was arrested yesterday in connection with a Sept. 16 incident in Kailua in which a 23-year-old man reported being assaulted.

The older man told police he went to the home of the younger man to try to help a third man who allegedly was being assaulted by the 21-year-old man.

The man who told police he had gone to rescue his friend said the attacker turned on him as well and then damaged the car as the two men inside were trying to get away from the area.

The suspect in the case was located yesterday and arrested on suspicion of second-degree criminal property damage and third-degree assault.

Schofield soldier's death prompts autopsy

An autopsy is being conducted today on the body of a 22-year-old soldier who was found unconscious and unresponsive early Sunday morning in his room at Schofield Barracks.

City paramedics were called and took the man, whose name was not released, to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

No suspicious injuries were apparent or reported, police said.

Man arrested in threat, assault incident

A 30-year-old man was arrested in Pawaa last night after a 45-year-old man flagged down a police officer to report being threatened and assaulted.

The man who reported the incident pointed out the suspect to the police officer who then arrested the younger man about 10:45 p.m. on suspicion of third-degree assault and first-degree terroristic threatening.

As the man was being taken into custody, the arresting officer found a photocopy of a driver's license belonging to a 26-year-old man in the suspect's pocket. The suspect in the assault and threatening case was then arrested again, this time on suspicion of unauthorized possession of confidential private information.

Woman reports sexual assault incident

Police are investigating a complaint filed by a 25-year-old woman who told them she was sexually assaulted about 3 p.m. yesterday in the Salt Lake area.

The woman told police she was attacked by a 27-year-old man she had just met at a cookout.
