Surf hitting 4 to 6 feet on east shores

Advertiser Staff

Surf along east shores is on the rise today, with swells hitting 4 to 6 feet. Surf on the northern shores remains at 2 to 4 feet, while west shores will see surf 1 to 3 feet and south shores will see surf 2 feet or less, the National Weather Service said.

Looking ahead, a northwest swell is expected to bring small surf to the north shore tomorrow. The swell will be followed by a moderate size swell from the north northwest Thursday night and a north swell on Friday night that will bring surf 6 to 10 feet through the weekend.

Also, a new south swell will bring a slight increase to the south shore Thursday.

Surf heights are forecast heights of the face or front of waves.
