Kane'ohe-bound Likelike Highway lanes closing nightly

Dozens of lane closures are in place this week across O'ahu, according to the state Department of Transportation. Here's a listing of closures scheduled.

The Likelike Highway will be completely closed in the Kane'ohe-bound direction from Valley View Drive to Kahekili Highway nightly through Thursday morning between 8 p.m. and 4 a.m., for the replacement of lane marker buttons and electrical work.

Kane'ohe-bound motorists are advised to use alternate routes such as the Pali Highway and the H-3 Freeway and to allow for extra travel time. 

Concrete work along Kamehameha Highway

A right lane closure on Kamehameha Highway (outbound) between Radford Drive and Halawa Drive will be in place 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Friday for concrete barrier removal and concrete pouring. Roadwork is weather-permitting.

Utility work closing Puuloa Road lanes

Lane closures on Puuloa Road from Kamehameha Highway to Salt Lake Boulevard will be in place 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Friday at the following locations:

  • Shoulder lanes on both sides will be closed for utility work.

  • A single lane will be closed in the southbound direction for electrical work.

    Roadwork is weather-permitting.

    Road resurfacing work on Nimitz Highway

    Lane closures will be in place on Nimitz Highway in both directions from Waiakamilo Street to the Keehi Interchange between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. nightly through Friday morning for road resurfacing work. Roadwork is weather-permitting.

    Kamehameha Highway undergoing electrical work, guardrail installation

     

    The right turn lane from Kalanianaole Highway onto Kamehameha Highway (Kane'ohe-bound) at Castle Junction will be closed 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. through Friday for electrical work and guardrail installation. Roadwork is weather-permitting.

    Likelike Highway upgrades under way

    Single lane closures will be in place along Likelike Highway between Valley View Drive and the Wilson Tunnels at the following locations for guardrail installation, shoulder paving and roadway striping on through Friday:

  • Honolulu-bound single lane closures from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

  • Kane'ohe-bound single lane closures from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.  

    Kamehameha Highway lanes close for resurfacing work

    Single lane closures in both directions on Kamehameha Highway between Pali Highway and Kahiko Street from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m through Friday for road resurfacing work. Roadwork is weather-permitting.

    Halawa Heights Road rehabilitation continues

    Single lane closures on Halawa Heights Road between Ulune Street and Fernridge Place, in the vicinity of Camp Smith from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Friday for striping, lane marking and sign installation. Roadwork is weather-permitting.

    Kamehameha Highway lanes shut for upgrades

    Lane closures on Kamehameha Highway between Waiahole Valley Road and Crouching Lion Inn will be in place through Friday for pavement marking, sign installation and guardrail work. During this time, one lane in either direction will be closed and traffic contra-flowed from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Roadwork is weather-permitting.

    H-1 guardrail, shoulder improvements near Middle Street Tunnel

    Right and shoulder lane closures on the H-1 Freeway will be in place in both directions near the Middle Street Tunnel through Friday at the following hours, for guardrail and shoulder improvements:

  • 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  • 8:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.

    Roadwork is weather-permitting.

    Farrington Highway lane closures in Waipahu

    Various single-lane closures on Farrington Highway in Waipahu will be in place through Friday at these locations and times:

  • Eastbound Direction, 8:30 a.m. through 3 p.m., daily — right lane closure near Waipahu High School for bridge post construction; right lane closure at the Waipio Point Access Road intersection for traffic signal loop detector installation.

  • Westbound Direction, 7:30 a.m. through 3 p.m., daily — right lane closure from Waipahu High School to the Paiwa Street intersection for bridge post construction, sidewalk and drainage work; sectional lane closures at the Pupukahi Street, Leokane Street and Leoku Street intersections for road resurfacing.

    Motorists are advised to use caution while driving through the work area and to allow for extra travel time.

    Roadwork is weather-permitting.

    Farrington Highway improvements under way

    Single right-lane closure will be in place in the westbound direction on Farrington Highway between Hakimo Road and Kaukama Road from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Friday .

    The right-lane will be closed for improvements to an existing concrete channel wall and the installation of a chain link fence. Roadwork is weather-permitting.

    Ala Moana Boulevard gets median landscaping, traffic signal tweaks

    Intermittent left lane closures will be in place in both directions along Ala Moana Boulevard from Piikoi Street to Atkinson Drive from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Friday for median landscaping and traffic signal adjustments. Roadwork is weather-permitting.

    Aiea Access Road improvements under way

    A right southbound lane closure on Aiea Access Road will be in place from Moanalua Road to Kamehameha Highway from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Friday for roadway striping, guardrail and curb ramp installation. During these hours, the southbound shoulder lane may also be closed. Roadwork is weather-permitting.
