State tax department sets year-end workshop series

The state Department of Taxation's year-end workshop series is set to begin on Nov. 27 and include updated information on tax forms, filing tips, compliance issues, tax litigation and presentation on a new surcharge.People registering at least two weeks before a workshop can attend for $60. An additional fee of $5 is charged after that. The cost includes materials, an information CD and a continental breakfast.
The workshops are scheduled:
Nov. 27: Kauai Community College, Dining Room
Dec. 4: Maui Beach Hotel, Elleair Rainbow Room
Dec. 11: Ala Moana Hotel, Hibiscus Room
Dec. 14: Royal Kona Resort, Discovery Room
Dec. 15: Hawaii Community College, Manono Campus Building 388.
Each of the sessions are scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 12:30 p.m.
