A Schofield soldier who was killed last Tuesday in Iraq was identified yesterday by the Department of Defense as Staff Sgt. Richwell A. Doria, 25, of San Diego.

Doria died after being struck by small-arms fire during an air assault mission near the northern city of Kirkuk. He was assigned to the 3rd Brigade, 25th Infantry Division. The death marks the eighth for the 3rd Brigade since the unit was deployed to Iraq in August.
