Ka'u man arrested following wife's death

KEALAKEHE, Hawai'i — A 53-year-old Ka''u man was arrested yesterday as a suspect in his wife's alleged murder.

Yu Dejarnette, 56, was found Sunday on the side of an embankment near her home in the Hawaiian Ocean View Estates subdivision. Police said she suffered severe head injuries and was pronounced dead at the Hilo Medical Center.

Her husband has not been charged but remains in custody at the Kona police cellblock.
