Slow-moving traffic flow continues

Advertiser Staff

Traffic began to stack up in the in-bound lanes of the H-1 Freeway in the Waikele-Waipahu-Pearl City corridor early this morning and the traffic flow has yet to recover.

At this time, traffic is backing up prior to the H-1/H-2 merge and remains heavy into 'Aiea. Traffic flow slows to a crawl through the Middle Street merge.

Slow conditions continue until once past the Liliha overpass.

Traffic heading in from Hawai'i Kai is also heavier than usual this morning, with the backup extending onto Kalaniana'ole Highway back to Ainakoa Street.

There are no major problems at this time driving in from Windward O'ahu.
