Four Seasons' Lodge at Koele reopens after renovation

Advertiser Staff

The Four Seasons Resort Lana'i, The Lodge at Koele officially reopened today following a multi-million dollar renovation.

The resort completed the first phase of its $50 million "enhancement program," which included the renovation of the resort's 102 guest rooms and suites and upgrades to restaurants and public areas.

Enhancements will also include the construction of a Spa and Wellness Center, which is expected to open mid-2008. A new Kids for All Seasons facility will also open in 2008.

The Lodge at Koele is one of two Four Seasons resorts on Lana'i. The other is the Four Seasons Resort Lana'i at Manele Bay. Castle & Cooke — which developed the resorts — and its chairman, David Murdock, have invested more than $100 million in the two properties as part of the rebranding, according to Four Seasons.

"We are very proud to be able to add the Four Seasons name to this wonderful property," said Mark Hellrung, general manager of Four Seasons Resorts Lana'i. "With the enhancement of The Lodge, discerning guests with an appreciation for the undiscovered now have a charming upcountry retreat to call home on the private island of Lana'i."
