Man arrested in jewelry theft

A 32-year-old Kalihi man was arrested yesterday after a 56-year-old woman alleged she found him at a pawn shop in Waipahu trying to sell jewelry stolen from her.

Police were called to the pawn shop and arrested the man on suspicion of second-degree theft.

Restaurant manager arrested in tie to fake robbery report

A 26-year-old Nanakuli woman was arrested yesterday in connection with a report she filed last month in which she claimed to be a robbery victim.

Police said the woman, who was the manager of a fast-food restaurant in Dillingham Boulevard, claimed to have been robbed at the restaurant about 11:45 p.m. Oct. 6.

After determining there was no robbery, police arrested the woman yesterday on suspicion of second-degree theft and filing a false police report.

Man arrested in knife-wielding incident

A 27-year-old man with no local address was arrested yesterday after he allegedly chased a 52-year-old man around a picnic table with a knife at Ala Moana Park threatening to stab the older man.

The older man told police that two men approached him about 12:20 p.m. and challenged him to fight. He said that when he declined, one of the men pulled a knife and began to chase him.

The man who filed the complaint was able to evade the alleged attacker and notify a police officer, who found the suspect nearby.

He was arrested on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening.

'Ewa Beach man arrested in connection with reported sexual assault

A 45-year-old 'Ewa Beach man was arrested yesterday after a 28-year-old woman who lives in the same Hanapouli Circle home told police the man who shares the home with her sexually assaulted her Tuesday night. Police arrested the man on suspicion of first-degree sexual assault.

McCully man arrested in kidnapping, sexual assault incidents

A 42-year-old McCully man was arrested yesterday after he allegedly pulled his girlfriend off the street Tuesday, held her captive overnight while beating and sexually assaulting her.

The woman told police she got into an argument with the man at their home on Citron Street and asked police to stand by while she gathered some of her things before leaving.

She said she was walking on Kinau Street near Pi'ikoi Street about 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday when the boyfriend grabbed her and forced her to return to the home on Citron Street.

She said the man held her in a bedroom overnight and sexually assaulted her and attempted to strangle her.

Police said a witness saw the woman being dragged back to the bedroom and called police. They went to the man's home and arrested him on suspicion of kidnapping, felony abuse of a family or household member and first-degree sexual assault.

Boy, 10, arrested in tie to sexual assault complaint

A 10-year-old boy was arrested yesterday as a suspect in a sexual assault complaint filed on behalf of a 4-year-old girl.

The boy is accused of three counts of first-degree sexual assault which is alleged to have occurred on July 5.

Police are seeking charges against the boy through the Honolulu Department of the Prosecuting Attorney.

Former boyfriend arrested in link to threats, abuse

A 31-year-old Kane'ohe man was arrested yesterday after his former girlfriend reported having a confrontation with him yesterday afternoon.

The woman told police the pair lived together until about a month ago, when she kicked the man out of her home.

She said the man showed up at about 4 p.m. at her Luluku Road home, threatened to harm her twice and hit her in the head with his elbow.

Police officers were sent to the home and arrested the man on suspicion of two counts of first-degree terroristic threatening and a single count of abuse of a family or household member.
