Outlook still solid for Hawai'i's hotel industry

Hawai'i's hotel industry is slowing but will still remain strong through next year, Hospitality Advisors LLC president Joseph Toy told tourism executives today.Toy said 2006 room revenue will likely beat last year's record of $3 billion. He also projected that although 2007 occupancy will hover around the same levels as 2006, the hotel industry will continue enjoying growth in room rates, revenue and profit.
Toy was among the industry experts who spoke at a visitor industry briefing today sponsored by Hospitality Advisors, Smith Travel Research and Sonnenblick Goldman.
