Don Ho ties knot with longtime partner

Wayne Harada
Advertiser Staff Writer

Don Ho, the iconic Waikiki entertainer, has married his long-time associate Haumea Hebenstreit.

The wedding took place in Hawai'i in September, friends say. Rings were not exchanged.

The couple, who've gone to great lengths to keep their private life private, declined comment.

It is the second marriage for Ho, 76, who stars in a long-running revue at the Hoku Hale Showroom at the Ohana Waikiki Beachcomber Hotel, where he's been since 1994.

Ho has been a musical star in the Islands and internationally since the 1960s, and is best known for his hit, "Tiny Bubbles."

Hebenstreit, a hula soloist in the show, is executive producer for the Ho show.
