Hawai'i's jobless claims rise for 7th straight week

Hawai'i's initial jobless claims rose for a seventh straight week compared to a year earlier, according to state data.The latest rise was 15 percent in the week ended Nov. 11, during which 980 new claims were filed. The increases may result in a rise in Hawai'i's unemployment rate compared to a year earlier. The jobless rate has been among the lowest in the nation.
