The Rainbow Warriors made their first nine field goal attempts, while the Beavers (2-3) missed their first eight shots and committed eight turnovers before Marcel Jones' jumper gave the Beavers their first points of the game with 12:31 remaining in the first half.

The Rainbow Warriors continued to extend their lead in the second half, making six of their first nine second-half shots to outscore the Beavers 17-5 in the first six minutes of the second half.
