Collision slowing traffic on Kalaniana'ole Highway

Advertiser Staff

Police have closed two Honolulu-bound lanes of Kalaniana'ole Highway and have set up a contraflow in the east-bound lanes near Kaimoku Place.

A utility pole was damaged during a motor vehicle collision about 5:15 a.m. today, posing a hazard to traffic, police said.

A repair crew from Hawaiian Electric Co. was en route to the scene to assess the situation and make repairs.

It it is not known yet how long it will take to make repairs or reopen all lanes of the highway.
