1905: The Pacific Commercial Advertiser first reports on David Forbes' discovery of a Hawaiian burial cave in Waipi'o on the Big Island.
1929: Myles Fukunaga is executed at Oahu Prison for the murder of a 10-year-old boy in September 1928.
1930: Mayor-elect George Fred Wright announces that Duke Kahanamoku will be appointed superintendent of Honolulu Hale.
1966: Hawai'i residents watch the Michigan State-Notre Dame football game in the first live two-way television broadcast between Hawai'i and the Mainland. At halftime, Mainland residents saw a live broadcast from Waikiki Beach.
