Mariners urged to use caution leaving north ports

A north swell produced by a storm in the North Pacific is producing surges in north-facing harbors like Hilo and Kahuli Harbors, the National Weather Service said.The swell will also produce breaking waves near the harbor entrances and mariners using these harbors should exercise caution when leaving or entering port, and when mooring or launching vessels.
