Morning commute slows at Middle Street merge

Advertiser Staff

Eastbound traffic is slowing down near the Middle Street merge and Vineyard exits, with the H-1/H-2 merge continuing to be the island's worst bottleneck area. The H-1/H-2 traffic is backing up past the Waikele Shopping Center. The H-1/Kunia merge is also heavy this morning.

No major accidents or stalls have been reported as of 6:15 a.m.

Traffic coming into town from Hawaii Kai is moving well, as is traffic coming in on Nimitz Highway. Traffic is solid at the LIliha exit.
