Plenty of good surf remains off all shores

Advertiser Staff

The high surf advisory for the North Shore has been lifted, but plenty of good surf remains heading into Thanksgiving Day tomorrow.

The National Weather Service's forecast calls for surf in the 7- to 11-foot range for northern shores this morning before lowering to 5 to 8 feet later today.

Western shores will see surf 3 to 5 feet early, dropping to 2 to 4 feet.

East shores will see surf 4 to 7 feet, with locally higher sets, and south shores will continue to get the smaller surf at 1 to 3 feet.

Through Monday, the surf forecast calls for a new north swell to arrive tonight, peak tomorrow and slowly lower into the weekend. A new northwest swell is expected to arrive tomorrow, peak Friday, then slowly lower into the weekend. A small south swell is expected to arrive Sunday night and linger into Monday.

Trade wind swells from the east northeast will continue through Saturday, with heights near or just below advisory levels.
