Coaches pick UH men to finish third in MPSF volleyball

The University of Hawai'i men's volleyball team was picked to finish in a tie for third place in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation during the annual preseason coaches' poll announced today.Defending regular season champion UC Irvine (27-5 overall, 20-2 MPSF in 2006) was the top pick followed by Brigham Young (18-9/14-8) and then a three-way tie between UH (23-5/19-3), Pepperdine (17-8/15-7) and UCLA (25-12/12-10) in the 12-team federation.
UH received one of the 12 first-place votes.
