Showers may be brief, but heavy

Advertiser Staff

A low pressure system north of the islands will keep the atmosphere unstable through the weekend, the National Weather Service said.

There may not be many showers, but some rains will be brief and heavy, forecasters said.

Today, expect partly cloudy skies with isolated showers, highs 76 to 81 and northeast winds 10 to 15 mph with a 20 percent chance of rain.

The weekend weather calls for isolated showers by mid-morning tomorrow and scattered showers in the late morning and afternoon. Winds will be out of the east at 10 mph, with highs 76 to 82 degrees.

Sunday's forecast is similar, with scattered showers, highs 76 to 81 and southeast winds 10 to 15 mph.
