Honolulu police arrested a 21-year-old man on suspicion of raping a young woman in her car on Nov. 18

The man was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of first-degree sexual assault in connection with an attack that occurred in front of a home in the 400 block of Kalaimoku Street.

On Nov. 18, between 3 a.m. and 3:15 a.m., a 23-year-old woman was unlocking her parked car, when she was approached from behind by an unknown male, she told police. The male pushed her into the vehicle and sexually assaulted her, police said.

The suspect, who was arrested at 9:50 p.m., was positively identified by the victim in a field line-up and admitted the crime when questioned, according to police.
