Advertiser Staff

The North Shore continues to get some good winter swells, with surf expected to be 8 to 12 feet today before decreasing to 6 to 9 feet later today, the National Weather Service said.

Surf along west-facing shores will be 4 to 7 feet, decreasing to 2 to 5 feet, south-facing shores will see surf 1 to 2 feet and east shores will see surf 4 to 7 feet.

The current west northwest swell is expected to decrease through the weekend, but another northwest swell will arrive late Tuesday. It will remain under the 15 foot high surf advisory level for northern shores.

An out of season south swell will arrive late Sunday, the National Weather Service said.
