ROY TSUJIO HONBO, 91, of Volcano, Hawai'i, died Nov. 20, 2006. Born in Makaweli, Kaua'i. Self-employed electrician; and member of the 100th Battalion in World War II. Survived by wife, Alice; son, Larry; daughter, Lynn Crompton; sisters, Mieko Yamamoto, Esther Kondo and Kay Lee; three grandchildren. Graveside service 3 p.m. Tuesday at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl. No koden (monetary gifts); donations to 100th Battalion Infantry Veterans Association. JOHN "SONNY" "UNCLE PAT" PATRICK KAHALEUA, 89, of Kapolei, died Nov. 14, 2006. Born in Honolulu. Retired longtime HC&D mixer operator. Survived by sons, Waltin, Patrick and Lawrence De Ponte and Clarence Galton; daughters, Junie Galton and Lana De Ponte; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. Visitation 10:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Thursday at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary; service 11:30 a.m.; burial 2 p.m. at Hawaiian Memorial Park.

CONCORDIA "CONNIE" VICENTE MONTALBA, 90, of San Mateo, Rizal, Philippines, formerly of Wahiawa, died Nov. 6, 2006. Born in Laoag City, Philippines. Retired midwife in the Philippines. Survived by sons, Louisito, Raul and Jesus; daughters, Mary Ruth Rulloda and Amy Francisco; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Service and burial held in the Philippines. EDWARD "NOBIE" NOBORU OKAMOTO, 87, of Kailua, died Nov. 19, 2006. Born in Honolulu. Retired painter with AC&L Painting Contractors. Survived by wife, Agnes; daughter, Karen Honda; two grandchildren; sisters: Carrie Hoe and Lorraine Hamasaki; brother, Earl. VERONICA "VERON" QUEMADO, 62, of Waipahu, died Nov. 13, 2006. Born in Vigan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. Retired longtime banquet waitress at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. Survived by husband, Rolando; sons, Ronald, Randall and Reynold; daughter, Renalyn Dias; sisters, Herminia Gavan and Araceli Querubin; nine grandchildren.
