Light trade winds due to return tomorrow

The upper atmosphere over most of the state will remain unstable through this evening causing some locally heavy showers, according to the National Weather Service.

Rainfall probabilities will be the highest over island interior and mountain sections later this afternoon and early this evening, forecasters said.

Light and variable winds will give way to light trades by tomorrow, with the trades strengthening further by midweek.

Here's how the next several days look:

Today, partly cloudy. Scattered showers, mostly in the afternoon. Locally heavy showers possible in the afternoon. Highs around 82. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 30 percent.

Tonight, partly cloudy. Scattered showers early in the evening. Then isolated showers overnight. Locally heavy showers possible early in the evening. Lows 67 to 72. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 30 percent.

Monday, partly cloudy. Isolated showers in the morning, then scattered showers in the afternoon. Highs around 82. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 30 percent.

Monday night, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows around 68. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tuesday, mostly sunny with isolated showers. Highs around 81. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tuesday night, mostly clear with isolated showers. Lows around 69. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
