Earthquake, tsunami rumors false

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said again this evening that there is no truth to a rumor circulating that an earthquake occurred today on the Big Island and caused a tsunami.There was no earthquake and there is no impending tsunami, a center spokesman said.
There are reports of people lining up at gas station on the Wai'anae Coast and in 'Ewa Beach because they think a tusnami warning is in effect. These rumors are not true.
The Warning Center repeats that there has been no earthquake, no tsunami and no warning has been issued.
