High surf advisory remains posted for eastern shores

A high surf advisory is in effect again today for east-facing shores where surf of 7 to 10 feet is expected.
Elsewhere, surf is expected to be 6 to 10 feet along north-facing shores, 4 to 6 feet along west-facing shores and 2 to 4 feet along south-facing shores.
On the longer-term horizon, a new northwest swell is expected to arrive by late Monday, peak on Tuesday, then slowly lower into Wednesday. A second northwest swell is expected to arrive Wednesday night, peak on Thursday, then slowly lower Friday.Both of these swells are expected to remain below advisory levels.
Meanwhile, a small out of season south swell, is expected to arrive by late today, peak on Monday, then slowly lower through the rest of the week. Strong trade winds to the east of the state, will likely keep surf along east-facing shores at advisory levels for the next couple of days.
