High surf advisory in effect until noon

Advertiser Staff

A high surf advisory remains in effect for east-facing shores until noon today, the National Weather Service said.

A small out-of-season south swell is expected to peak today and slowly diminish through the week. A northwest swell is expected to arrive later today, peak tomorrow and slow diminish Wednesday.

New northwest and north swells will arrive Wednesday night and produce surf above the high surf advisory along northern shores Thursday and Friday, the National Weather Service said.

Today, surf along east shores will be 4 to 8 feet, north shores will see surf 5 to 8 feet, west shores 3 to 5 feet and south shores 2 to 4 feet.
