Professionals capture golf's Governor's Cup

The professionals won eight of 12 matches Tuesday to rally for a 13-11 victory over the amateurs in golf's 34th annual John A. Burns Cup Challenge at Mid-Pacific Country Club.Beau Yokomoto, Norman-Ganin Asao, Phil Chun, Andrew Feldmann, Regan Lee, Mark Morrison, Ivan Cunningham and Kirk Nelson won matches Tuesday for the professionals. Jonathan Ota, Sean Maekawa, Tadd Fujikawa and Brandan Kop won matches for the amateurs.
The amateurs began the day with a 7-5 lead in the two-day event.
The Governor's Cup features 12 amateurs and 12 professionals in a format similar to the Ryder Cup.
